Neither Percy nor Annabeth wanted to play the key characters in Goode Highschool's production of The Sound of Music. First, a little background information: Annabeth Chase was that intelligent, architecture-obsessed student at the front of the class with top-notch grades. She was always happy with her small friend group comprised of her, Thalia Grace, Piper McLean and Hazel Levesque. Although she had a stunning singing voice, Annabeth had always been too shy to share it with the world. Percy Jackson was Goode's star swimmer who, although clumsy and not exactly the smartest, was funny and extremely kind-hearted. Even though he was quite popular, he surrounded himself with his close friends Jason Grace, Frank Zhang, Grover Underwood and Leo Valdez. Nearly the entire school firmly believed that his only talent was to achieve record times in the many swimming styles. Both of our protagonists have dark family lives hidden to everyone. However, when they meet, they can't help feeling a spark between them. Perhaps, by bonding with each other and acting together on stage, they will be able to bring out each person's soft side and provide a form of consolation to the other. And of course, their friends are rooting for them to get together the entire time! I own nothing but the plot. Enjoy!
