"What about me? I have feelings too, you know?" Words can mean a lot to someone, especially when they are repeated. They make you question how you think, how you operate, and most of all, how you see yourself. It makes you wonder how you fit in to this puzzle of the world, and it makes you second guess everything. A single word, can really change how everything revolves around you, when you have nobody to fall back on. At 16 years of age, Thalia has never truly understood what it feels like to be included. Inclusion is not something that people did and immediately thought of her. People looked at her, and decided to walk around her, or to purposely go out of their way to not pick her. Even teachers turned a blind eye on the girl that was truly suffering. People never understood the full weight of their words. Actions were something you could dismiss, but it was the words that hit their target, every time. They hit her in the school hallways, and they took full force when she walked in through the front door of her house. It was a house, something with four walls and people in it, but never a home. Nothing that said people of a family lived there. Those people that made a family, had one of their own. They had a family, that did not extend to the young girl that was their step-sister. They made it clear, they were step-siblings, and not siblings. Growing up, it became 16 against 1. Older sisters are supposed to share their clothes with their younger sisters and prepare them for what was awaiting for them. Older brothers were supposed to protect the younger ones and tease them from time to time. But these people, simply preferred to hold the title, rather than to act. Only one day, that would all change. It would all change, but was it for the better? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Started: 3.10.22 Revised: 17.02.26 Finished:

**Scene Excerpt:** Instinctively, I reached for her, pulled her toward me, wrapped an arm around her back and held her as if that was exactly what I should have been doing all night. Her slight frame fit frighteningly well against my side, her body warm, her breathing uneven. I stroked her back in a steady, soothing rhythm, trying to understand what had happened without pressing her for answers. After a while, she lifted her head and looked at me, her eyes glassy and tired. Then she leaned in, slowly, uncertainly, as if she wanted to kiss me. As a thank you. Or out of desperation. Or maybe both. I gently held her back. "No," I said quietly, barely more than a breath. "Not like this." She blinked, seeming to need a moment to process my words. "I'm sorry," she murmured then, the words heavy on her tongue. "We're just friends. I know." That sentence-my sentence-hit me harder than I had expected. "If tomorrow," I said calmly, resting a hand against her forehead, "if you still want to kiss me when you're not drunk anymore... then do it. Okay?" Without thinking, I pressed a fleeting kiss to her forehead. No calculation. Just instinct. She clung to me tighter, pulling me closer, and I let her. More than that-I enjoyed it. Cara has learned to stay silent. About guilt. About things that can't be undone. And about a past she keeps carefully hidden. Jan believes in order, in rules-and in the idea that life makes sense if you follow them. But on an old estate on the Spanish coast, he meets a girl who quietly, yet irrevocably, begins to shake those convictions. Between horses, sea air, and unspoken truths, a closeness grows-cautious at first, then dangerously honest. Because some stories refuse to be buried. And some feelings demand more than courage. Who knew that one night and one mistake could change your life. I didn't. My name is Celeste Winters, and I'm about to go to jail for the murder of my best friend well one of my so called “best friends,” so let me start from the beginning. About two months ago Me, Regan, and Charity were in math class. In walks this blonde haired, 5'8, dressed in designer from head to toe, flawless photoshopped girl named, Heather West walks in. She was the younger sister of Nathan West, star quarterback of our football team and Regan's boyfriend. We all ended up befriending Addison. We weren't Regan's minions or anything, but did what we had to stay at the top of the social ladder. One day everything's fine then the next day it isn't. Next thing you know cops are coming from every direction, the guilt is starting to get to us, and me well I'm being escorted out of my class in handcuffs. “When I look into your eyes, I can see myself becoming a better person.”- Regan Walters

A select number of poems I wrote some time ago. These poems are all completely different with separate morals, but there's several underlining lessons or life stories in them all. They're interesting and realistic. If you're looking for rainbows, this isn't the place.
