It's just what the title says. We've just gotten closer.. But not the way you would think as friends would be. But as potential lovers..?

Gwen and David had been assigned to kill a married couple since there have been some reports of them being loan sharks, drug traffickers, and having files of personal information on agents. As they killed the targets, Gwen hears sobbing noises as she follows the sound she opens a closet room only to find it she found baby boy with red hand print on his cheek. As they didn't have the heart to leave the kid in an orphanage, it was best for them to take him under they're care. Years have passed as Gwen and David still worked as assassins while they also kept an eye on Max at home, little did they know their rival organization was targeting them for the death of Max's parents. Max starts to get suspicious of Gwen and David on why they come back home with wounds and scratches every couple of nights. Max: A regular and familiar face in Camp Campbell. He's been going to this camp for a couple of years now, and he likes to think of himself as the cynical, and sly "leader" among the campers. Although he does have his prideful and joyous moments, he's also the type that has trouble opening up to anyone about his problems. This has recently become more apparent and has taken a toll on him emotionally, even to the point where he shuts himself off from his closest friends Nikki and Neil in some instances. David: The happy-go-lucky camp counselor of Camp Campbell. He always tries (and fails) to make the campers' experience less grueling, but that doesn't stop him and his determination. Out of all his campers, Max is the one who he most wants to see having fun, and this goal of his has become more of a challenge ever since Max started "drifting away" from others. Even if trying to get through to Max might be tough, he is determined to help him with whatever burdens or bottled-up emotions he might be hiding behind the cold brick wall he's put up around him. _____ Teen AU (Characters are aged up) Max- 16 Neil- 16 Nikki- 15 (16 later on in the story) _____ . . A few weeks after parent's day, Max seemed a little more friendly towards the counselors. Nobody understood, and nobody really cared. As long as Max was being less of a dickhead.
