Loki finds himself wandering the streets of New York. More specifically Queens, New York. A place he chose to avoid the peering and watchful eyes of his father, his boisterous brother, and unnerving sister. He didn't mind his mother but he just needed a break from Asgard for once so he took the bifrost to Midgard and came here to rest. Only problem with that is New York is a city that never sleeps and Loki has just about had it with everyone around him. He finds himself traversing through the alleyways of Queens definitely not the safest way to travel. Upon one of these alleyways he stumbles upon a brown cardboard box... A crying box?... She misses him terribly, missing every minute of each day that passes without him by her side. Every night when she closes her eyes and lets herself fall into slumber, his name is the first one that comes to mind. The dead cannot be brought back to life. But perhaps, someday, she'll find the strength to forgive him for abandoning her, forsaking the gods for her. Perhaps, sometime tomorrow or the day after that, the gods will be merciful enough to make his promise come true. "I'll wait for you," she whispers. "And find you, where ever you are, even if it was another universe, even if it were another lifetime..." She smiles sadly to herself in her bed, "...you will always be my love." She waits for him day and night, every moment she sleeps is torture. Her heart aches. Her blood boils. She wants nothing more than for them both to return together. The worst part about living every day alone is that the emptiness is always there, waiting for him, craving his touch.
