Between his death on Earth and his rebirth in Aethelgard, Cato glimpsed the Truth: a Nexus of infinite worlds where a thought alone can spark creation. Now, trapped in a mortal body in a decaying kingdom, he has only one ambition-to return to that state of omnipotent freedom. With memories of Earth where he studied engineering and was fascinated with Taoism, he sets out on a journey of learning, crafting, and growing, all so he can forge a path to unknown realms of transcendence. Not rushing for feeble success, he roots himself so he may see farther, deeper, and longer than any of his peers. He forges a new system of power in the new world that becomes his home, ready to stir a storm and clash with whoever may try to impede him.

When humanity's first FTL test ship makes its inaugural jump, it doesn't just cross distance-it crosses assumptions. A stranded Galactic Council survey craft watches a human vessel arrive from Dead Space, the region where Council drives fail and every map ends. The Council has a word for that place: impossible. Humans have another word: home. And when the two finally meet, the question isn't why humans came- ...it's why everything else seems so fragile. Rating: Teen (mild peril, tense rescue, no explicit content) And yes I admit it, I recycled names etc. from numerous other #HFY & #HaSO stories.

Based on SpacePaladin's "Nature of Predators". Based on my oneshot Against the Herd - Predator Fever Crossover with /u/Eager_Question's Love Languages ----------------- Kurlek is the face of the hit independent news show "Against the Herd", providing the rational well reasoned anti-predator takes required in world where Venlil Prime is filled with the new predator threat. Although the irony of stealing the format from the humans is lost on him, the fame and praise of his new celebrity status isn't. But when with the help of Alice, his human mentor, they uncover an actual story worth telling, how long will morals and journalistic integrity remain in the face of chasing ever climbing viewership numbers and fame?

Set in the Jenkinsverse, though by no means canon or consistent with the ongoing stories. Furthermore, the chapters are going to be grossly inconsistent in length, and it's probably badly written to boot, but that's what you get for reading my stuff. Feel free to leave comments regarding the terrible writing, characters, and plot. I might get around to reading them... someday. I'll probably post every 4 or 5 weeks as I've got 3 other fics going

The tumultuous 1960s has brought about the beginnings of Humanity's first steps into the cosmos. The Cold War was just nearing its peak, however the advent of Yuri Gagarin's flight in 1969 brought about large-scale reforms in all of the major world powers. After a limited nuclear exchange had taken place between the late 1950s and early 1960s, the devastating weapons of war were set aside and placed in storage before a new organization built on the concepts of Understanding, Unity, Trust, Equality, Discovery and Humanity First came into being. Visionaries were elected into positions of power, technological development accelerated ten-fold, and by the early 1980s; an age of enlightenment and science had begun. It is now 2230; the dawn of Humanity's golden age, and the newest flagship of the United Terran Federation Navy is nearing completion. As the launch date draws ever closer; all eyes look outwards beyond the edge of the fledgling Federation's borders and think back on the lyrics of an ancient song from the Early Space Age; "Glory to those who look forward! Glory to those who go forward! Our path starts from the present To the coming years!"
