This is a fanfic of a just a couple of scenes from How I Met Your Mother - Season 8 Episode 8 - "Twelve Horney Women" (Disclaimer : I do not own any rights to this property. Marshall just beat Brad and his client, Gruber Pharmaceuticals, in the case of contaminating Frog Lake with chemicals, giving various wildlife rashes and other biological issues. He won because Brad went into the lake and got the rash himself. Marshall may have won the case, but the initial $25-million claim was reduced to only a $25k fine in damages, which made him feel like he won the battle but lost the war. The man is trying to save the planet, which doesn't pay much, no thanks to the reminder of his old college buddy trying to recruit him, then backstabbing him, almost jeopardizing the case, which would've affected his employment at his firm that he was socially shunned from for being potentially losing this case. Marshall also dreams to make the world better for his future kids and sees that dream getting a little more polluted every day. This is my take: Marshall should've been more angry at the end of that case, and with the unclear meeting he's having with those judges that looks like some sort of hearing for his misconduct, while having the theme of being a badass as part of the B-plot, I figured it'd be appropriate to have Marshall express a little more of a protester attitude towards that stupid judge.
