Swap Class. It's been around for years. And yet.... despite all safeguards and protections promised..... what happens when somebody refuses to swap back citing human rights? What happens, when the human right to not be forced into medical procedures (eg. the swap back procedure), collides with the human right to return to your original body? And what happens when it happens when the law hasn't caught up to body swapping yet, and body swapping rights haven't been introduced yet. For reference, the AITA stories are from OP's POV, TIFU stories are from Hannah's POV, and College Swap Class announcements are from the college's POV.

A young teenage girl, haunted by the memories of her father's execution, attempts to escape a cruel regime by night. A solitary woman, abandoned by her husband, inadvertently plays into the cruel hands of 'the state'. In another totalitarian regime a traffic light fixer is dealt with brutally for admiring a sunset. All these characters capture the essence of what it's like to be disempowered and cruelly dehumanised at the hands of a heinous, corrupt power. This sharp collection of pertinent short stories throws an at times uncomfortable light on cruelty, injustice and persecution that is all too relevant today. But ultimately these stories celebrate the strength and determination to survive at all costs, that exists within all of us.

Sedaya Clementine a soon to be eighteen year-old girl is assigned her final task of the year, mentoring a tribute through the 10th annual hunger games, to guarantee she wins the Plinth prize. The prize isn't what grabs her attention though, it's Treech Mason from district seven, her tribute. Sedaya is the girlfriend of the beloved Coriolanus Snow, although her values differ from Coryo's causing a rift in their relationship. Sejanus Plinth, who is Sedaya's closest and most trusted friend in the whole school shares the belief with Sedaya that the games are wrong and inhumane. When the announcement is made that their final task is to guide their tribute through the games, Sedaya doesn't hesitate to take this opportunity to try and save at least one of their lives. While her and Coriolanus are going through rocky moments throughout their relationship Sedaya finds herself seeking comfort in her tribute Treech, overstepping boundaries that probably shouldn't be crossed. She makes a deal with herself that she will get him out of that arena even if it costs her life.

The music business is about having tough skin and set morals in order to maintain your sanity. Everything that glitters isn't gold. I have long thought that freedom is an essential human requirement. Without it, life is worthless. Without freedom, life is nothing but a deception, a mirage. Iran was and still is a country without freedom. It is a country in which an authoritarian, theocratic regime silences voices and crushes dreams. Iranians in Iran live in constant fear and oppression. Iranians play a nerve-wracking game of cat and mouse with the regime. They live a duplicitous, hypocritical life of doublespeak. They have to do so to survive. A façade of normalcy seems to exist throughout Iran, but in reality Iranians struggle to find something that is a shadow of true normalcy. The way people dress, act, and speak in public is completely different from the way they behave behind closed doors. Why? Because their lives depend on it. They could get arrested, jailed, tortured, or even executed for dressing, acting, or speaking freely. Americans generally cannot comprehend what it is like to experience this type of existence-you cannot really call it "life." Hope was the only thing that allowed me to survive in Iran for 10 long years. My hope grew that one day I would be able to escape Iran and be free at last. One day my hope would be realized and I would be free from oppression, free to practice or not practice a religion, and free from a theocratic regime that micromanaged almost every aspect of my life. This story, told through the voice of a fictional character, shows why I had to escape and how I did it. Although I worked to make the most of the freedom I gained, most of the story after the protagonist AJ arrives in America is fictional.
