A young teenage girl, haunted by the memories of her father's execution, attempts to escape a cruel regime by night. A solitary woman, abandoned by her husband, inadvertently plays into the cruel hands of 'the state'. In another totalitarian regime a traffic light fixer is dealt with brutally for admiring a sunset. All these characters capture the essence of what it's like to be disempowered and cruelly dehumanised at the hands of a heinous, corrupt power. This sharp collection of pertinent short stories throws an at times uncomfortable light on cruelty, injustice and persecution that is all too relevant today. But ultimately these stories celebrate the strength and determination to survive at all costs, that exists within all of us.

She went to the mountains to learn. To listen. To understand. To live among people the world had long forgotten. A student leader from UPH, a sociology major, armed with nothing but notebooks and questions-she believed stories could change systems. But one night, the mountains echoed with gunfire. By morning, she was dead. By noon, she was labeled an enemy. And by evening, her truth was buried beneath a uniform she never wore. This is her story-told through the pages they couldn't erase.

Madagascar is lost. To school: she's an overweight, dead quiet, lonely, unpopular, bald and unattractive black weirdo with friends who are as strange as she is. To home: she's a colour of creativity, celestially kind and shines with class. To herself: she's so much more then she seems, if only her voice was strong enough to tell the world. To tell herself. To Love: Madagascar's life is going to change but it must start with her.

"I am a dead man speaking to you." Born in a rural village where a father's name is the only currency of worth, I was bankrupt before I even took my first breath. My mother, vulnerable and silenced, paid the price for a crime she didn't commit, while the man responsible walked free. From a childhood of stigma to seven years of modern-day slavery as a domestic helper in Dhaka, I have survived the unthinkable. Now, I am back-a ghost in my own land. With no NID, no birth certificate, and no "identity" in the eyes of the law, I am fighting to protect my two daughters from the same poison that nearly killed me. This is not just a story of poverty; it is a scream for justice from the shadows of society. If a man has no name, does he truly exist?

Title: India's Problems Description: India, a land of diversity and progress, also struggles with deep-rooted issues that impact millions every day. India's Problems dives into the harsh realities of both online and offline struggles faced by men, women, and society as a whole. From gender biases, legal injustices, and economic struggles to social stigmas, mental health concerns, and digital-age challenges-this book uncovers the untold stories and silent battles people fight daily. With an unfiltered approach, it sheds light on false allegations, domestic violence against men, workplace discrimination, unrealistic beauty standards, toxic societal expectations, and the ongoing debate over equality. It challenges stereotypes, questions outdated laws, and sparks conversations that demand change. This is not just a book-it's a mirror reflecting the real issues that many choose to ignore. Whether you're a victim of these problems, an observer, or someone seeking solutions, India's Problems will make you think, question, and push for a fairer society.
