As he unlocked the door with my key, I knew then that he must have been watching me, or the children, to know where we had hidden the key in the pot. But I thought to myself, if he knew this, then he also knew my family is home. This stranger knew where to find me, and where I run each morning, and knew my children lived there as well. Why would he take me into my own home? He spent the entire day in our house, beating on me, until he decided he would move on and find someone else, I suppose. Why this man left me alive is only understood after five years passed. This same man comes back again for me.......
