Following the main story, Satan and (Y/N) are the rulers of Demonkind. Possessing both brain and brawn they had nearly conquered Ente Isla, that is, until the Hero Emelia quashed their dreams. With little left of their powers the demons manage to escape to Earth. Now, they must live on Earth until they can regain their former powers and retake Ente Isla.

I didn't take any of the events of the manga into consideration, so my story takes place some time after the fight with Sariel. I used the English translations for the names they call each other. There are very short and very long chapters, as I wanted to make this story episode-like, so I cover only one topic in each chapter. I wrote this fanfic because I love the anime and I wanted to experiment with the characters and the possible relationships between them. And because I love these ships!

Message from the author: Firstly I'd like to apologize for the lack of updates. I've been really busy lately and i haven't found time to write stuff. However, in the downtime I found "The Devil is a Part-timer!" And fell in love with the story. I highly recommend watching the anime, reading the manga and reading the light novel that the two are based on. It does not entirely revolve around romance but it is one of the best parts about it. An unlikely and completely opposite pair find themselves in a new world with a new way of life. After fully reading the Light Novel series, (it is still ongoing, I have caught up as far as I can) i was engrossed in the world and characters. Especially Maou and Emi's relationship. I really recommend this to anyone. It's lighthearted and has its occasional mature times. Now onto different things. I'm not finished with Citrus yet. But I wanted to write something with Maou and Emi. But as a deviant, who dabbles in the dark arts of smut, even this seemingly wholesome pair are at the mercy of my pen. ------------ This will contain spoilers which are unavoidable simply because this story will be set after events which change the two's relationship. This means unless you've read the manga and the Light Novel, you will or may not recognize certain characters. *SPOILERS AHEAD* This story takes place after Emi starts to question her feelings towards Maou in Volume 17.

Starting with an erythrocyte he's recently saved does seem like a good idea, unfortunately she too fears WBCs. Of course that is no reason to give up, it just requires making an effort.
