I got there with my friend, Jarrod. I had never been to a concert before. When I walked in I expected it to be louder but it was still loud. We had missed the first support act because of traffic, which was no worry because Jarrod and I weren't fans of them. A band known as Stray From The Path was on stage when we walked in. Their set had just started. Jarrod and I watched as we waited for the main band to come on. After Stray From The Path the band Issues came on stage. We didn't really watch them and went to check out the merchandise, which I regret now because months later I actually fell in love with their music.

Welcome to Hephaestus. Originally known as Project Prometheus before its development was revealed to the wider world, the Hephaestus was designed to "spit in the eye of the gods". A massive, heavily armoured, industrial spaceship, the Hephaestus was designed to travel the long distance to the planet Helios 29-c, and then be the central hub for the largest industrial effort in human history. But as it's name would suggest, Project Prometheus was never fated to be an easy journey. Five years after landing the enormous ship on the surface of Helios, and transforming itself into a massive factory city, the crew of the Hephaestus have spent less time mining for the valuable helium-3 and other elements under the surface, and more time focused on fighting back the hordes of horrors that inhabit the planet.

It can be read as a stand alone story; however, reading this before Make Them Scream will be a spoiler.

Living in Sacramento is just like any other place in 1986. And five high school teens just want to make Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music for teenagers to relate to. Nic Simmon-Yeets only listens to Heavy Metal and lives at her aunt and uncles house. No one knows why she doesn't live with her parents, and no one really knows why she doesn't care for anything. All they know is that she can bang drums better than nearly anyone in all of Sacramento. Cedric Richards looks pretty much like a Metal singer who dropped out of high school. No one knows much about why Cedric is the way he is, just that he plays guitar and that his voice is the intro to a whole new kind of perfect. Scott Edenberg could never have emotions. He's got the hottest teacher as his mom, and he's also 6'3". He's the biggest rule breaker South Sacramento High School has ever seen, but they've never actually noticed the fact that he sits in his garage all day, playing his guitar and smokin'. Jeremy Carson comes from a lot. Not only is his sister the girl every student has eyes on, but his parents are both a-list models. Coming from a gorgeous family, you'd expect him to walk down a runway listening to pop music and blasting money right and left. But staying in his bedroom and screaming the lyrics to Metallica is more his style. Filled with dirt on his family's name, he plays guitar on his own and plans to be the most famous rock star that has ever been heard. Axton Burton is anything but good news. He's a bass player who got his first tattoo at the age of fourteen and was born to teen parents. But when he has eyes for someone, he'll do anything to get them to notice. Being Jeremy Carson's best friend, he's used to playing Thrash Metal in his driveway and making neighbors move out. Five teenagers wound up in a band together, eventually called "Violet Odyssey." Making music is their passion, but they're the most unlikely band there is, and all they want to do is go on a tour, far away from Sacramento.

What is Corruption? This is my music reading experience. There are a range of songs to enjoy and listen to, with a fitting extract of writing to match. You can read a short piece for every section of music. The story may be one I've made up completely or with references relating to the song and or the music video. I'll try to include many genres of music for you to listen and read to, such as pop, indie, heavy metal, rock and EDM. There is something for everyone. Enjoy! :) Just as a side-note, any explicit songs are labelled underneath informing you that they contain inappropriate lyrics or swear words, so you can skip past them, if you would prefer to. :)
