lizzie mclean didn't believe in many things. living through a mostly debt-ridden childhood, watching her mother being subjected to unspeakable horrors to pay off her father's debts and eventually die from it, she was a somber soul. having lost her will to live, she had decided to watch the beauty of the world before dying peacefully in a remote corner of the world. yet never she would have thought, that a visit to an unsuspecting medieval town in italy would change her whole life.
