HideKane fanfic (Tokyo Ghoul) Kaneki and his beloved fall in love, but everything is short lived and Hide does what he must to save his only true love. However something seems a little strange, is everything really how it seems to be?

// kaneki x hide [au] // Hideyoshi Nagachika is a sophomore in college and moves into a condo near the University he attends. Little did Hide know that the condo he lived in was previously owned by a college student like him that died there and is condemned to stay until he is given permission to leave by the current owner. Kaneki Ken does the smallest of favors for Hide such as making the coffee in the morning because the klutz always managed to be late, and tucking him into bed as he turns off the tv Hide left on. But in the process, Kaneki finds himself wanting to protect and love Hide. When Hide and Kaneki cross paths, things change drastically.

Kaneki is scared of lightning, so Hide decides to stay over.

Hide knew all along that something was wrong with the young lazy Rize Kamishiro. He was always observant, and Rize just couldn't be trusted. The way she looked at Kaneki just didn't sit right with him. He tries convincing Kaneki to let her go, saying that she's completely out of Ken's league. Ken doesn't listen, so instead, he follows them on their "perfect" date, and everything changes.

Kaneki grew up alone with no friends- His mother had died while he was still young, and his father was always working. He felt nothing put loneliness until the day he encounters Hide his new next door neighbor, which brings unknown feelings for Kaneki brought to light.

Goat is an organization in this slightly-parallel world, and it demands for ghoul rights and the sorts. Due to this organization's fierce initiation and everything, ghouls are slowly integrating into society. And by that, I currently mean that there are plenty of ghoul sympathizers. Ghouls don't have any rights yet. And Kaneki was kidnapped by Kanou when he was in sixth grade. And he was tortured in sixth grade too. He spent a few months with Kanou before Anteiku saved him, and then he spent ten days with Jason. P.S. Some of the characters may be a little OOC because DUDE. KEN NEVER KNEW HIDE. AND HIDE HAS BEEN RAISED WITH THE F-ING WASHUUS. Disclaimer: I don't own Tokyo Ghoul (:re). If I did, CHAPTER 125 AND 126 WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED! I also don't own Romeo and Juliet, clearly.
