New Characters:
Matthew Hughes: Zac's protective, level-headed older brother. He's the one who stayed behind to pick up the pieces of their broken home. He carries the "Hughes" name with a mix of duty and resentment, acting as the bridge between Zac and their father.
Luke Hughes: Zac's estranged, troubled father. A man haunted by past mistakes and broken promises, he's a "storm" that Zac has spent years trying to outrun. His reappearance is a constant threat to Zac's newfound peace.
Amanda Cooper: A sharp, grounded Theater major at Temple. She's the first person to make Zac forget about the drama at Princeton.
Cameron Wright: Zac's high-energy, filterless roommate. He's the "life of the party" who doesn't know when to shut up, but his loyalty is unmatched. He's determined to make sure Zac actually enjoys his college experience.
Avan Zala: Sean's college roommate and Ashley's new romantic interest. He's intellectual, steady, and a calm contrast to the chaos of her past-but being the roommate of her protective brother makes their new attraction a little complicated.
PLOT:
Now a Theater major at Temple University, Zac has finally traded his past drama for the spotlight, finding a fresh start with a new spark, Amanda. Meanwhile, at Princeton, Ashley is buried in her English studies, trying to navigate the dating scene while searching for a connection that actually sticks. But when the holiday season forces an unexpected reunion, the ghosts of their toxic cycle resurface, proving that some chapters aren't as closed as they seem. As Zac faces the mess he left behind with Ashley, he's also forced to confront the fractured relationship with his estranged father and brother. Between old flames and broken family ties, Zac has to decide if the holidays are a time for healing or if some bridges are better left burned.
