Douglas Hamilton no suplica. Ordena, decide, conquista. Ella no piensa caer otra vez. Él no piensa dejarla escapar.

I am Sorcha of the Winter Court. I have been writing since 950 AD. These are those journals. What begins as exile ends as witness. I arrived at a dark stretch of Highland forest in 950 AD with nothing I intended to keep and everything I intended to leave behind. I built a cottage. I watched kingdoms rise and erase everything that came before them. I wrote it down. This is not a history. History is written by the people who won. This is what I saw from the treeline while they were busy winning. Over a thousand years of Highland Scotland told through one voice - the cold, the particular, the precise. Love arrived slowly and without my permission. Loss arrived the same way. Power rewrote itself in every century and called it progress. I noted all of it. I am still writing. These journals begin in 950 AD. They have not ended yet. The Dark Mile Journals is a serialized fantasy told entirely through first person journal entries. New chapters published regularly. Suitable for readers who like their history sharp, their magic older than the stones, and their narrators unreliable only in the ways that matter.

By South American standards, Bolivia is not large, but it's bigger than most European countries, and about three times the size of Germany. It's a country of contrasting landscapes and people. Its western part is dominated by the vast highlands, at about 4,000 m of altitude, including Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. The western and eastern cordilleras of the Andes Mountains are their borders. They are an extensive pasture for sheep and cows, and the occasional llama, or alpaca. The air at this altitude is starved of oxygen, making it hard to breathe. The eastern cordillera is equally expansive as the highlands. There are endless mountain peaks. And to the east of them are the vast lowlands, which make up more than two thirds of Bolivia's landmass. We spent all of our time in and around the Lake Titicaca area, with the exception of a brief excursion to the Uyuni Salt Flats, a large lake that dried up eons ago, leaving a sea of salt behind.

The Battle of the Bosnian Highlands – a fictional account of an actual battle which modern historians believe, had it not ended in the defeat of the Bulgarian Army, our Middle Ages and modern history would have altered drastically. In 927AD, The Battle of the Bosnian Highlands was fought between the armies of Bulgarian Tsar Simeon I and King Tomislav I of Croatia. Few details are known of the actual battle other than the two sides, the estimated size of the armies (though even that is often disputed), the date, location and the outcome. The only other thing known is Tomislav should never have won. How he did, remains a mystery and legend.
