This is an entry for the Home Before Dark Contest. There are many ways to tell the truth. I'm a Type One Diabetic. For me, speaking truth equates standing in the face of discrimination and negativity associated with any incurable disease. We are strong. We are united. Above all else, we seek to spread truths about life with a disease. Because, at the end of the day, besides my needle tips, insulin pens, and countless blood sugar pricks, I am exactly like you: another human.

Secret are never gone, they're just waiting to be found. Telling me the truth hopefully in enough time to save me from prison. The truth is what saved our relationship and for anyone who knows Angel and I, She might be my daughter and being friends with your children is frowned upon, however she was always, still is, and always will be, MY BEST FRIEND!
