After moving schools, she encounters the Woods brothers, Liu and Jeffrey, the richest kids at Forrest Lake High School. She befriends Liu, a brown-haired boy who's a grade older and the popular one of the two. Jeffrey, the bullied emo kid, begins catching Y/N's eyes, and she begins pitying him when she runs into him being bullied after class. After seeing him get beat up the day before Winter Break, she stands up to the bullies, and begins to befriend Jeffrey. Liu begins to stray away from her and eventually, after not seeing much of Liu, he disappears, along with their parents. Then does Jeffrey. After a few years, Y/N moves past her friendships with Liu and Jeffrey, and graduates high school, about to begin college. People start randomly disappearing and while driving back to her hometown, she runs into someone unexpected after her car breaks down in the middle of the night. And she's resorted to walking until she finds signs of human life. She meets the eyes of the person slowly walking towards her.
