Aryan and Lorie hadn't been apart ever since their first-grade teacher put them together by alphabetical order. Aryan had complimented Lorie's backpack, and asked what he was reading. "Percy Jackson," Lorie grinned, and Aryan felt his stomach flip. "Do you want to be my friend?" And ever since, inseparable. You never saw one of the boys without the other.
Aryan, an aspiring actor, had applied to be in the Percy Jackson show adaptation a few months ago. It was a reach, but his agent insisted. The possibility of getting the role was so ridiculous it became a joke between him and Lorie, like, "you'll have to visit me in the Big Apple once I'm a famous actor!"
But then... he got a call back. And suddenly, he was Grover Underwood in the Percy Jackson series. It all happened so fast, and all at once, it set in that he was leaving his best friend in the entire world.
And he hadn't even told him he was in love with him before he left.
