This work is written as if it is a series of internet posts by 23 year old Miranda as she shares her experience while on a Honeymoon in Tennessee. Her and her husband, Matias, want a secluded honeymoon that just involves each other and the great outdoors. However, once a mysterious knocking begins while Miranda is in the shower, she begins to wonder if they are not as alone as they had thought.

In a world untouched by civilization, The Primals follows an ancient tribe that communicates without words, relying instead on instinct, ritual, and raw survival. Set in a time before language, before complex tools, and before recorded history, the story immerses the reader in a primal existence where nature dominates and silence speaks volumes. The tribe moves through dense forests, hunts with stone weapons, and follows the guidance of a mysterious council. Each member plays a distinct role in the tribe's survival, yet none hold the full truth of their origin. As they navigate harsh terrains and looming threats, a sense of something forgotten-something buried deep in the earth and memory-begins to stir. A looming judgment, ancient and unnamed, begins to shadow them. The silence they once trusted begins to feel heavier, more haunted, and perhaps not entirely their own.

As she searches through the remnants of their old neighborhood and the eerie halls of Lovelace Middle School, Legacy grapples with her fragmented memories. Each familiar sight stirs haunting echoes of what once was, and when she encounters a girl who eerily resembles her sister, Legacy feels a mix of hope and dread. With time slipping away, she must confront the ghosts of her past and unravel the mystery surrounding Jamyra's disappearance before she loses her sanity-or will she succumb to time like others before her? Author's Note This is only the second draft of the final part, parts 1 and 2 are good. I already have a long list of revisions, expansions, and corrections I plan to make in future drafts, but I wanted to release it before the Backrooms movie as a small tribute to liminal horror and the stories that inspired me. I'd also like to dedicate this draft to my students, whose enthusiasm for series like The Backrooms helped inspire me to finally finish and share it. Thanks for reading. - L.B
