Beside her mom that is stopping her, which is tremendously acceptable (because, that's is totally unacceptable in an Asian family), someone else, is giving her a second thought. Someone like Park. Their biggest misadventures have taken a decade of their life and still is.

No matter how long it takes and how difficult it may be, there's just something about love that pulls two people who were meant to be together towards where they have always meant to be. Even if it takes decades, or the rest of their lifetime...or lifeline. This accounts the travels through times and odd ends between two life long best friends, and how they realized that all they have worked for was something they were inevitably going to lose Through the most inexpressible type of affliction, they grasped all that has been concealed under the demeanor they have associated with content and serenity. Conversations unanswered and unattended to, brought them back again to where they started off.
