Scary season is upon us. This is a series of fireside ghost stories shared by the Duskwood gang as they try to bond around the campfire. The stories are tame and kind of silly, (think goosebumps), but they should be an enjoyable read with shorter chapters. I hope you like it. Happy Hauntings!

My name is Margot Christin, they call me MC. I'm 25 years old and I'm a writer. Three months ago I received a text message from an unknown number, that's how I became part of a group in Duskwood, a place I never knew existed, searching evidence for a lost girl named Hannah Danfort. And I think I'm in love with someone I've never met, whose face I've never seen, whose voice I've never heard. I only know he is a hacker in run , wanted by the government. His name is Jake. (Nym-0s ) "What does the name stands for?" "A lot. For two souls that are coincidentally but eternally connected." ......................... This is a fanfiction about the 'Duskwood' game by Everbyte. The story begins after the end of the last episode when Hannah was found and the connection with Jake was lost. If you have never played the game there will be spoilers , so you'll know what the game is about. If you have played the game , then you know about the hacker guy, Jake. I don't own the characters except from MC and how the story goes on after the last episode. PS: I do not own the pictures.

Duskwood is a small town which is surrounded by dense forest and hides many secrets ,some of them are going to come out . M/C is a psychologist in the story, she lives near the duskwood but she rarely goes there .

Hannah is found. However his relief is short-lived as he realises that his pursuers have now caught wind of the people he has gotten involved with. He knows they won't inflict any harm upon them as they do not know much about him but he knows they are getting closer. His past haunts him as he dreams for a life he knows he cannot afford to be in. He must prove his innocence. Longing conjures into determination and he ensures that the person he holds dear is safe: MC L/N. The game of cat and mouse continues. One thing is certain: Jake Donfort can never get close to the light, otherwise his shadow would become visible...

Jake escaped from the mine, but he is left without his equipment, his backpack, or a way to contact Marlowe. Determined to find his love, he trevails a long journey to recovery both physically and mentally. He has to find his way to her and out of the path of his pursuers. She, on the other hand, refuses to believe that he is dead as she uses her credentials to track him down. lead him to safety and help him earn his freedom.
