I pull myself fully from the bed and step onto the icy floor, moving toward the window. Outside, the sky is bruised and coal-black, heavy with anger. Liquid lightning splits the darkness, blue and silver veins painting twisted faces across the clouds, gone as quickly as they appear. Then it happens. A blood-curdling scream slices through the night-and through me-sharp as a dagger cutting through butter. Her scream. Before I can think, before fear can settle, I'm already moving. I tear myself from the floor, rip the door open, and sprint into the hallway. My bare feet slap violently against the ground, each step echoing too loud, too fast. Where is she? Where is she? The halls stretch endlessly before me, one bleeding into the next. I run and run, lungs burning, heart hammering like it's trying to break free from my chest. Panic blurs my vision, the world narrowing to sound and motion and fear. Then my legs give out. I collapse with a sharp yelp of surprise, my knees crashing into the unforgiving floor. Shuichi has depression and social anxiety in this au. There has been two trials, the first was just two people who weren't in the game- but they probably won't be mentioned much. The second class trial was for the the murder of Tsumugi Shirogane. The blackened was executed before Monokuma stopped 'working'. The story is solely based as a Shuichi's life fanfic, but contains mild saimota though, so no worries :) ------------------------ Although the ultimates are free from the fear of death, they still have no clue on how they can get back to reality from the Danganronpa universe. Shuichi was undoubtedly reliable during the class trial, but seems slightly off. He stays quite antisocial though he was gaining confidence. Locked up when he used to explore and investigate whenever he had a minute. Is he just taking a break....or has something happened?
