Ishita Iyer has been dreaming of a life as a dentist, wife, and mother, but destiny plays a cruel joke on her, as her dreams are shattered by her fiancé Subbu right before their engagement. She moves to Delhi with her family, searching for the remedy of her broken heart, only to find happiness in the most unexpected place. Raman Bhalla was a blessed son, brother, husband, and father, only to have his world destroyed by his wife Shagun after five long years of marriage. Cursed with a scorched soul and burned by the weakness called love, he flees from Delhi, only to find peace and joy in the very place he left behind. Disclaimer: This is my retelling of the iconic show "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein." I am a huge fan of the initial 1.5-2 years which were telecast at 11 pm. Those initial days of YHM are the inspiration for my story. I attempt to close loopholes and expand on relationships and character conflicts that were insufficiently addressed on the show (in my opinion). The characters here are all the same as in the original show. The only difference is that Simi's husband and Ananya's father is a guy named Pulkit. Both Simi and Pulkit are good people and happily married. Param is not a character in this story. If you are unfamiliar with the original characters, please refer to the family trees added with the trailer. Although the story and premise is different, I will be recreating certain tracks that could have gone better in my opinion (Ishita's infertility; custody trial of both Ruhi and Adi; Mani's entry and Raman's jealousy; Ishita's insecurities regarding Shagun; IshRa pregnancy track and Pihu's birth). Does Raman blame and shout at Ishita because she hides stuff from him, or does she hide stuff from him because he shouts and blames? It's a bit of a chicken and egg situation🤔😀. So I won't waste my time trying to figure that out, but here's a Five Shot about IshRa having a small realization about what is going wrong in their relationship and taking the first step towards fixing that. This story is more of a continuation of the track in which, post Ruhi's acquittal, Ishita has an outburst and decides to take a break and move out of Bhalla house. However,for the purpose of this story, let's assume that her outburst and her grievances against Raman were limited to his behaviour towards her and does not involve the kids in any manner. And though she shifts out to a separate apartment and lives there all by herself, owing to Ruhi's fragile state of mind and Pihu falling sick repeatedly, she comes back to Bhalla house after a period of 2 months.

The leap, and meeting her brings about a feeling of loss in Raman, a second time! The thought of her alive made him feel betrayed and the other man's presence in her life misted his eyes with jealousy. Does he want her back? He should figure it out himself...
