Journey into a vast era in Igbo land, a time when the nation is divided by mountains, seas, and forests into distinct lands. Each fortress is ruled by kings, priests, or a group of titled men.
The land seems stable-at least, everyone believes so-until the barbarians, a cursed tribe living beyond the evil forest, push their army toward the mountainous people of Igbo land. They seek revenge for the death of their warlords. The barbarians are ruled by a bloodline of warlords.
This is a serious story, and following it means embarking on a long adventure.
It explores themes of magic, war and bloodshed, sex, slavery, and outcasts.
This historical fantasy is rooted in Igbo folklore.
Take note of the following lands in the storyline:
Ahafia: Ruled by monarchs called obis, Ahafia is a high-walled fortress and the center of economic activities.
Enugwu: The mountain people. They are ruled by titled chiefs and are miners of rare earth minerals beneath their mountains.
Ubommiri: An island nation surrounded by seas and powerful ships. They are ruled by a fierce priest and have no contact with other Igbo nations.
Oguike: The barbarians. According to legend, they were once slaves of Ahafia but were cursed by the powerful Ahafia deity for conspiring to seize their masters' throne. As punishment, they were banished beyond the evil forest.
