When my mother was alive, magic was the only string that kept her and I together. The silly card tricks, even pulling a rabbit out of the hat. It all connected me to her, pulling me into a seemingly better reality than where I was. But in the blink of an eye, she was gone. That string snapped. Magic was only real if you believed, and at that point, it was just a game to me. All it did was provide false hope. I forced myself to keep performing for her, deceive others into thinking that what they saw was real. Seeing magic fill others with joy made me question; why. Why would seeing something impossible make someone so happy? Because seeing is believing. And the closer you look, the less you'll see.

She lived in a world of colors and contrasts, where her hands shaped what her heart longed for. Her eyes held arcana, traces of dreams she dared to create. A single masterpiece changed everything, an art too vivid - too real. But that creation comes with a price, and now, something stirs beyond the canvas. A figure from her art, feared yet unseen - stepped into existence. Something that should have remained a myth. She had no idea, even before the last stroke dried... She had gone too far. She's Mahdevi, the artist of fate. 𝓦𝓱𝓲𝓼𝓹𝓮𝓻 𝓢𝓮𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓼 #2 Written by: EmdzeysPb Fantasy/Romance (Taglish) Date started: April 4, 2025 Date completed:

Elena Cross has never needed the spotlight. She builds the impossible, times the escape, and disappears before the applause. Magic, to her, isn't about belief; it's about control. If the illusion works, no one should ever know she was there. Ten years after the Horsemen vanished, Elena helps orchestrate their return as a lie. Alongside three other young illusionists, she recreates the legends using deepfakes, holograms, and precision misdirection to expose a corrupt cryptocurrency empire and give the stolen money back to the people it was taken from. The world sees a miracle. Elena sees a system working exactly as designed. Then J. Daniel Atlas finds them, and the Eye comes calling. Recruited for a global heist to steal the Heart Diamond from Veronika Vanderberg, a diamond magnate laundering money for international criminals, Elena is forced out of the margins and into a game where every move has consequences. Old Horsemen resurface. Alliances fracture. Someone is lying about who's really in control. And Charlie turns out to be far more dangerous than Elena ever planned for. As illusions escalate into betrayals and the line between justice and revenge blurs, Elena must decide how much of herself she's willing to reveal. Because in a world built on vanishing acts, the most dangerous thing isn't being seen... It's choosing not to disappear.

A collection of verses born from raw emotions, delightful feelings, and lingering thoughts. These are the words we whelmed from ourselves and from the world. An overwhelming pain we carry WITHIN us; unspoken words that create a boundary in silence, where distance leads to being misunderstood in a chaotic world, we never spoke out. In the end, it's just a word we never spoke clearly.

You're the only thing I want to consume because is the only way to feel you. I'll be your soul for you, so I can reach you no matter what. Otherwise, feel me. - Little disclaimer! This story is completely new and the prologue is the only part I could for now write. I tried to make it as possible as articulated with words and significant sentences. This is only the preview of this intense intimate relationship. So I wish I could get better with words and make it special so you can understand what I really want to transmit towards this story with my own feelings and way to think. Thank you if you'll support me! Have a good lecture!! - (Btw I won't post every day. For each chapter it will take time, have patience!)

She had no reflection. He had every reason not to be believed. When Marsh arrives in the fog-bound valley town of Virenholm, he's carrying everything he couldn't leave behind - a difficult year, a history of not being believed, and a talent for noticing things he wishes he hadn't. His neighbour Annie is warm, perceptive, and exactly what he needs. She arrives at the right moments. She says the right things. She knows his history before he tells her. She has no mirrors in her flat. In the oval mirror in Marsh's bathroom, something is wrong. His reflection moves a half-second late. It raises the wrong hand. It mouths words he can't hear. And as the fog deepens and the canal holds still water, Marsh begins to understand that the most frightening thing in his flat is not the reflection - it's the person downstairs who is very carefully building the case that he's losing his mind. Drawing on Slavic Zerkalo mythology and South Asian Chaya tradition, The Hollow Twin is a folk horror novel about gaslighting, the self you can't perform away, and what it means to trust what you see - even when everyone tells you not to. For everyone who was told they were the crazy one.

Born on the night Kenya gains independence, Kamau M'Rimba enters a nation overflowing with hope, sacrifice, and promises of justice. Raised in the quiet Meru village of Kianjai by a principled father who believes deeply in patriotism and service, Kamau grows up witnessing the slow transformation of a young republic. What begins as whispered conversations beneath mugumo trees about land and favoritism gradually evolves into a vast system where power, loyalty, and corruption become inseparable. As Kenya moves through political transitions, economic scandals, and the rise of elite networks, Kamau climbs from an idealistic young civil servant into the heart of the national political machine. Around him, friends rise through corruption, others are destroyed by it, and entire institutions slowly bend beneath the weight of greed disguised as survival. But the deepest battle emerges within his own family. While Kamau grooms his firstborn son for county politics in a devolved Kenya where corruption has spread into local governments, his younger Gen Z children reject everything he helped build. They join digital activism and street protests demanding accountability from the very generation their father represents. Spanning six decades of Kenyan history-from independence to the era of online resistance-Inheritance of Shadows is a sweeping political family drama about patriotism, compromise, power, and the dangerous inheritance nations pass from one generation to the next. "A nation does not collapse in a single theft. It collapses when theft becomes inheritance."
