Following the grey-colored school life of Houtarou Oreki, a recent transfer student Jougorou Kobato took a deep interest towards his reclusive and solitary way of living which seems to be peaceful in his point of view. However, it doesn't really mean they are living in a slow-paced school life: Both of them struggle with cases and tend to be back-and-forth with what they really want - their obsession towards living in a specific manner. Together with their companions like Yuki, Chitanda, Satoshi, Ibara and Kengo, they happen to stumble into a lot of cases to solve. While Oreki is too slothful, Jougorou is too reluctant dealing with these stuff. So, can they survive and live in a peaceful life they always have longed for?
