Okay I know what you are thinking yet another story where someone from our world gets sent into the Lord of the Rings world, and in this case you are right in thinking so. I however hope that my story will be slightly above the run of the mill another person in middle earth story. I have never written a Lord of the Rings story I usually stick to Pirates of the Caribbean. I have written some decend OC's for the world and thought I would try my hand at LOTR, I hope Gwyneth does not turn out to be Elizabeth. Please just give this chapter and maybe the next one a chance before deciding to bail on the story.

A fanfic of Tauriel's childhood, how she grew up, the mystery behind her parents, her relationship with Legolas, and a more detailed background for the character than was ever written by Peter Jackson. Tauriel is training to become Captain of the Guard, her one opportunity to be anything more than the daughter of a murderer. Because at the moment, that's all that she is. I wouldn't mind it if I didn't know what he was really after. The spirits and creatures of the wood and river can be beautiful, ethereal, magical. They twinkle and dance and sing as they ride on the wind or play in the trees. Others--the ones I know he's REALLY after--are not so friendly. At least, that's what the elders say and what the whispers around town are saying. Why can't he just hunt rabbits, like a normal Lightfoot?

Maybe there are already a thousand of these books. I'm just making another. Because if there's one person who can create the most inspiring phrases in this whole universum, it's Tolkien.

Just a school project I did on the Hobbit. We have to describe our characters that we made and give them a bit of a backstory. IRL, it's four pages long. Hope you like!

The day I published this countdown is four or five days earlier. We both know that "days to the desolation of smaug" was originally only the first update, and that's it.

Jackie's an Elf. But.. Her parents were killed when she was 4 years old. The King Under the mountain at the time found her, a small elf-ling, close to death all alone at the edge of Mirkwood. Taking her home he raised the Elf as one of his own along with his son, and unable to properly pronounce her elven name they called her the closest thing they could to it, Jackie. Eventually she left to return to Mirkwood and joined the guard, but always returned when she could, dozens of Mountain Kings ruled and died, but she was good friends with all of them, some even as close as brothers or fathers. This was the case with her and Thorin, as close as siblings. When Thorin and his company are captured in Mirkwood it becomes harder and harder to hide her past from the dwarf hating society she now lives in, and misunderstandings with the prince arise. *New Note* Sequel has been posted, title; "Long Lost"
