As Elsa became the Fifth Spirit that also meant that it came with gifts. But Elsa didn't see it that way; at first. Yes she became more powerful and her powers grew to not only control and create Snow & ice but also water. Elsa also became immortal as the other spirits are too. This caused Elsa a lot of pain as she had to watch Anna grow old while she stayed young. When Anna died Elsa forgot why she became the Fifth Spirit until she meet someone with similar gifts.
