Growing up, Avalon Hayes was surrounded by a loving family with a music geek of a brother, a queen bee for a sister, and the local crazy lady for a grandmother. She had all the perfect examples for a loving relationship, yet she couldn't get it right. When she died, she had almost no one to miss her now that she was gone. When he was with his boys, Reggie simultaneously felt loved yet underappreciated. They had formed their own little family, brothers for life really, but he couldn't help but feel like a third wheel to Luke and Alex.
