My jaw dropped as I took in Hunter’s attire- light pink skinny jeans, bright green Converses and a powder blue ski jacket. I tried not to make it obvious when I looked him up and down, not able to believe his courage for wearing such an outrageous outfit in public.
But I must’ve not been as secretive as I’d thought, because he laughed loudly. “You probably think I’m crazy.”
“Not really.” I blushed.
“Yes, you do. Like everyone else here. You know why?”
“Why?”
“Because I’m not conforming to the ways of stereotypes.” he explained, and my eyes went wide. “Girls should wear bright and light colours, such as neon, pink and white. Boys should wear blue, green and dark colours. But I’m different- I’m trying to make a statement, that everyone should be able to do what they want without being judged.”
His gorgeous, twinkling eyes bored into mine, and I felt my heart skip a beat.
I think I just fell in love.
