This story happens after STRANGER THINGS season 3. So if you haven't watched it, beware of the SPOILERS.

Alternative ending for stranger things, it starts at the beginning of chapter 8, season 5. It will contain a longer final battle and more deaths, deaths that will hurt. Don't read if you haven't watched the end of Stranger Things yet, or you liked the canon ending. I personally was disappointed with the ending so I decided to write my own. And it will contain LGTBQIA+ content and some non-canon ships so if you don't want that just don't read this. I took the fan made poster for season five for the front page, so credits to the creator.

So in my opinion Season 5 was horrible in handling queer representation (as someone who is part of the LGBTQ community herself), especially with queer baiting Byler, so I've combined both of my hyper fixations together, and made a fanfic where Will and Mike get the love story they deserve!

I got inspired to write this bc of LameParties. (SHOUT OUT) That's where I got the name idea from. "You took my heart (I was sleeping)" This is a Byler fan fiction. Here's some info. Other: Every chapter switches between (third person) Mike pov, and (third person) Will pov. Ex: chapter one will be Mike's pov, and chapter two will be Will's. Main ships: Byler, (Mike and Will), Rovickie, (Robin and Vickie), Jancy, (Jonathan and Nancy), Lumax, (Lucas and Max), Jopper, (Joyce and Hopper). Candler as well (Mike and candle stick). This is a book that contains cutesy moments of these two because... why not? Also, no smut because I don't feel comfortable doing that, but I might put some spice oneshots if you all comment for it. Summary: Uploading my work from ao3 A rewrite of the events after Season 5, Episode 5. To (hopefully) ease the disappointment that so many of us are feeling, I wrote this fanfic addressing some issues and things we wanted to see more of, many of which we had with volumes 2-3 of the series finale. An alternate universe in which Mike and El(le) are competitive figure skaters from rivals clubs forced to practice at the same rink. Will they stay rivals, or is something else in the cards?
