One dreary day, she meets a mysterious boy her age named Jaxon. He has a mysterious personality, uncannily like her book character, the one that had been in the book that made Velvet Topaz famous. Little does she know, he is on a mission to eliminate all authors, including herself. Jaxon can't help but admire Evie. But he doesn't know Evie is his author, one of the many he needs to eliminate. As far as he knows, Velvet Topaz is his author. How will this all play out? What will Jaxon do when he finds out Evie's true identity? Will all the authors be killed? Or will he find a way to defy destiny?

Sarah is your typical quiet shy nerd, coming from England she thinks America will be a new start. But what happens when the shy quiet nerd gets mixed up in the wrong people, drama, anonymous texts and gangs. "We won't get caught. They left already." And he was right. The sirens were faint and I was about to leave but that's when I heard someone cough and groan. "Shoot him already. We're already late as it is!" "Okay." And then a gun shot sound filled the alley and that was the first time I heard a gun shot fire and that was my first witness as murder.
