I'm never the greatest at writing out captions and the troubled state of our world today leaves me speechless. The Lord originally placed this thought on my heart several weeks ago after publishing the house fire anniversary post at the end of January.
The term 'smoldering' could describe our current surroundings and so many souls are still lost and unable to see danger, although I know most would collectively agree that trouble holds an unsettling presence and it only seems to be getting worse.
You see many scoffers on social media and those who seem to live in complete oblivion and it's heartbreaking to witness.
The gift of salvation is so freely offered to anyone and I hope and pray that more souls would see their need before it's everlasting too late.
I hope everyone has a blessed Saturday! ❤️✍️
"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God, the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." (2 Peter 3:3-7)
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to a place of repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation". (Romans 10:9-10)
