At the age of 16, the given witch or wizard will go through a creature inheritance (if that person has creature blood in their family line). Severus Snape goes through an early (and very painful) creature inheritance, and has trouble finding his mate, or rather, coming to terms with who his mate is. James Potter is having the same trouble with his inheritance.

His shaggy black hair, light olive skin and dark eyes reminded people of two students in 6th year, but not enough to make an impression. No one knows what happened to James Potter over the break. All they know is that he disappeared two weeks before thanksgiving and came back a different person. He wasn't who he used to be, and he doesn't think he ever will. Severus has his own issues but when you have an unreasonable urge to protect and comfort someone who needs it, you dont question it you do it. James wants to spend the winter break with Lily, but she still hates him. He makes a plan to change bodies with Snape during the break, knowing that the two live close and spend time at each other's houses, so he can be with Lily and find out if anything is happening between the two. Severus is hated by basically everybody. His home life is no better than his school life. He's abused and bullied. And the only thing that brings him out of the harsh reality is Lily and books. One day James is bored, walking around with none of his friends. He was the only one with a free period from the marauders so he decided to wander around. Then he found Severus curled up under a tree reading an old book. What will he do? Say something? Hurt him? Or just stand there hoping not the be noticed by the Slytherin? When Severus Snape comes back for his 6th year at Hogwarts he is mute. That is because of his father's abuse. He gets beat, hit, thrown you name it. Lily teaches him sign language and he manages to survive. James had a great summer, yet when he comes back to school he finds something different in Snape. He doesn't talk, makes weird actions with his hands... Will he do something? Will he step in? Will he keep bullying him? All characters belong to J.K.Rowling. - This book is now up for adoption. After an ordinary prank from the marauders, Severus attempts suicide (The attempt isn't shown). word gets out the marauders were in the note. Mostly Sirius. In his guilt Sirius decides to pose as a regular dog to comfort Severus. ((Ships:Snack, Jeverus, Starbucks, James/Sirius/Snape

Discontinued! . Severus Snape died. But he didn't. He appeared in his own younger body, before Hogwarts. Now he has to survive through it all again. But something is different. And that something changes everything. He will change the future, not only for others but also for himself. Perhaps Severus will learn to enjoy his life a little more, laugh more often, and possibly even find love on the way.
