But three months after he entered, the bridge starts to rebuild itself, and everyone in Trollmarket is forced to prepare for Gunmar's escape. Disclaimer! This is an alternate ending for TrollHunters. I started this before Seasons Two and Three came out, so it was originally a prediction for what was going to happen. But now it is an alternate universe, for what things could have happened after Jim entered the Dark Lands. Remember that episode in season 3 of Trollhunters, named 'For the Glory of Merlin' and Jim asks, "How did you know we'd come looking for you?" And Merlin says, "Because Jim, I am your father." I thought that'd be a really interesting AU where Merlin is Jim's father. So, that's basically the premise for this AU.

A/N: While I'm waiting for season five to drop so I can rewrite How to Train Your Miraculous, I might as well start some of my other works. Jim and Marinette are half siblings, and are seemingly normal teenagers. They go to school like everyone their age, have friends and do normal teenager things... but that's not the whole story. They have the responsibility of keeping the world safe from dangers that threaten it. But they keep the world safe from different threats. Jim is the eldest out of the two, and is the Trollhunter, who protects the surface lands from the evil Gumm-Gumm trolls, and their leader; Gunmar. Meanwhile, Marinette is the youngest, and protects the city of Paris, and the world, from supervillains, empowered by magical butterflies, that are sent to those who feel negative emotions, but the evil Hawkmoth. Follow along on their adventures in keeping the world safe from evil.

Basically the title. Send in a load of truths and dares for Jim and his friends and I will make them do it.

A Single Rose is strongly based off of Beauty and the Beast. It is a TrollhuntersXBeauty and the Beast crossover fanfiction, and it is mainly based on Jim and Claire, but other characters from Trollhunters have main roles in it too! So obviously, this is the story of Beauty and the Beast, but with a few twists added from Trollhunters. I do just want to explain one thing to you: Characters that are not under the curse of the castle, are called by their real names from Trollhunters. For example Claire is Belle, but since she isn't cursed, she'll be referred to as Claire. On the flip side, Douxie is Lumiere, but he will be called Lumiere until he turns back into a human at the end of the story. Mr. Nunez is that last character I'll mention. He is of course Claire's Dad, but we never learn his first name. Henceforth, I'm just going to call him Maurice, like Belle's Dad in the movie. I recommend reading this with the live-action Beauty and the Beast soundtrack or even the movie. 99% of the dialogue between songs is taken from it, but I believe that unless this fanfiction starts making money (which I don't expect to happen), I don't need to include citations or anything. Using the soundtrac and or movie will help you to understand why things are spaced the way they are and stuff. Artwork credits go to @squabasaurus on Instagram!
