Shirley Davis moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma from Denver, Colorado to get away from the busy uptown life. She moved on to the Eastern side of town where the Greasers ruled since she couldn't afford to live on the West side. There, she met Sodapop Curtis at the gas station he worked at. He was the most attractive man Shirley had ever seen. When she also becomes friends with a sweet Johnny Cade, she realizes how small her new town is as she constantly runs into who everyones calls 'the sweetheart Greaser'.

Hello everyone! This is my Johnny Cade x y/n fanfiction. Just a little heads up, this story doesn't take place during the time that The Outsiders does. It's kind of like an AU where Johnny and Dally didn't die, but all the other events happened. We'll say this is like, 6 months after. Also, I know that S. E. Hinton wrote a few books that take place after and have Outsiders characters in them, but I haven't read those in a hot minute so this won't be consistent with those books. Sorry! I hope you enjoy!

So when Madeline Cade, his best friend's older sister begins showing up more and making his flirting seem minimum why does falling seem like the only thing he can do?

This story is basically a joke, I got bored and decided to write this monstrosity for my friends and I. On the other hand, I feel like something gay happen between Ponyboy and Johnny in the church, so that was also a bit of the inspiration for this story.
