I push past them, despite their clawing. The only regret I have right now is forgetting my coat in the dining room.
I slam the door open, hearing their frantic footsteps following me. I shut the door in their faces, running away from the run-down house.
The rain pours down on me, freezing my bare skin.
My loose white t-shirt that was tucked thoroughly and dryly into my black jeans is now soaked, part of it out of the waistband of my jeans. My converse sneakers soak up water as I step into a puddle, making me whine slightly.
Some of my hair sticks to my face as the sound of thunder rings through the air, causing me to shudder. My tears finally fall as I realize I'll never be the girl I once was. We'll never be the family we once were.
And you know what? I can come to terms with that.
I just have to leave. Somewhere I can be myself. Somewhere I can be free.
But where is that place?
I stop in front of an alleyway as I hear the faint voices of males somewhere close by. Suddenly, the ear piercing sound of tires speaking to a stop sounds next to me.
I look to my right, looking straight into the eyes of the mafia leader himself.
Jeon Jungkook.
"Need a ride, Princess?"
I stay silent for a while. Then, I abruptly continue my steps towards the passenger side of his car, getting in and buckling my seatbelt.
"Where to, Princess?"
"Anywhere. . .
anywhere away from here."
