Abigail White is a small town girl from Oklahoma with a past that no one knows about but her and The Big Man Himself. Her mother was killed in a car crash, her father has gone from being a loving family man to an abusive drunkard, she has become outcasted by almost everyone at her school, and her best friend for her entire life is no longer in the picture. Well, they are, but they're not in the right picture. She doesn't know exactly what she did to deserve the life she has now, but accepts it as a punishment, believeing she is no longer wanted. Her heart has become barricaded, keeping everyone out of her past, and even the friends she has left don't know her entire story. Travis Benson has no idea who he is anymore. After getting rid of his best friend since diaper days because his parents split up for a while, he has completely changed his image. Trying to get rid of the pain, he becomes one of the school's biggest play boys. He stopped believeing in true love a long time ago, now believeing it's humanely impossible to experience. But, what'll happen during Abigail's junior year of high school? She's just trying to survive with the pieces of her heart left behind and find out what she did wrong. He's just trying to figure out who he is and find out what 'love' really means. What does God have in store for these two unlikely teens?

He placed his hand on my face, his thumb stroking my cheekbone. I involuntarily lean into it, not being able to control myself. Tears started to flood from my eyes. Even when I want to leave him, get away from the inevitable pain I would get from staying with him, I was still seeking comfort from him. You're weak, the voice in my head said. "You may not need me, Katrina," he started, a strain in his voice. "But I need you. I don't know how I've made it this far without you, but I finally know what it's like to have you in my life. And now that I've tasted it, I don't want to live without you, I can't." A sob escaped me. Why does loving you hurt? I thought to myself. "Please," he whispered. "I love you." ~ ⋆ ~ After letting pain consume her throughout her life, Katrina Smith decides to take back that control. To hell to everybody she let walk over her. Then, out of nowhere, a boy crashes into her life. Making her feel something she'd never want to feel again. She knew this feeling. She's gotten close and personal to it, shes touched it, gotten to know it. Shes also gotten accommodated to the aftermath of it. She didn't want to again. She didnt want to feel the pain of losing someone again. Will Katrina let pain rule her life, or will she finally soak into the unknown?

Welcome to a new installment of my Truth About High School journal series! Junior year is probably going to be the craziest yet, so strap yourself in and hold on tight, ladies. This is actually a non-fiction journal of my life in my third year of high school, so it will be updated as I experience things and write them down. Updates in the past have been pretty unpredictable and inconsistent, just like life, but I will try to keep them short and frequent. May Margaux Stewarts first few years of high school had been not at all what she was expecting. Boring and bland. When she was twelve she wrote an entire high school bucket list of all the things she wished to do, and four years later, she's completed none of them. Starting off her junior year everything had been the same as every other year before that. The same one friend and her mother nagging her about getting good grades, the same ugly brown school and low status. May was desperate for change, and luckily she got it. Not in the way she was expecting though. Bringing some new hot boy to her school wasn't exactly what she was expecting. Could he be the one to change her bland life? Could he be the one to finally help May finish her high school bucket list? But what if he ends up meaning more to her than she anticipated?

After life threw Alexander around for years, things finally started settling down. He had a loving family, an education, and caring friends. A home. But of course, the world isn't quite done with him just yet. When he starts talking to John Laurens, supposedly bratty, snobbish, rich John Laurens, and finds out that what people say about him are nothing but myths he finds himself tangled on a secret friendship which eventually morphs, quite accidentally, into something more with the South Carolinian. He can't let people know about them, especially not his lovable but oh so overbearing brother Lafayette. It gets even worse when feelings are thrown into the picture. But whatever, what Lafayette doesn't know won't hurt him, right?
