Writing Prompt : Honor Bound #JustWriteDay

A short story for the #justwriteday challenge, re: International Youth Day 2023 prompts (12/08/23). Prompt: 'Young hands move small stones, igniting a cascade [of change] that shifts mountains and shapes the world.' Aria is a young girl who gathers stones to saves her village from devastation. With an unlikely friend, she finds her true calling. 500 words.

A short story. ***** Angelic, pure-hearted, 21 year old Nancy Stephenson has everything in life. A well paying job, great friends, supportive parents, and now, a drop-dead gorgeous fiance. She is full to her brim with innocence, content and joy. Her life simply could not have been better. Little does she know, about the twisted feelings and undiscovered lies lurking in the shadows... Devious, charming, 25 year old Mark Woods, who's mere mention of his name had girls swoon, also supposedly has everything in his life. With unresolved feelings and haste, he found himself engaged to the virtuous, and pure Nancy Stephenson. Little did he know, about the demons lurking in his head, throbbing to be let out... *****
