[Please note in the first chapter it does have a lot of inspiration from an already existing fanfic of these two.] Sakakura accidentally slips up and mentions disappointment. He then decides to come clean to Munakata. From that point, the two men keep making promises to each other.

Upon closer inspection, he was still alive.. but barely. After escaping the building, Sakakura was taken straight into a hospital and given surgery to try and save his life. [Nondespair] Yukizome Chisa has a surprisingly terrible taste in men. Nobody knows this better than her bestfriend and ex boyfriend, Munakata Kyosuke. Munakata's love life isn't much better, as their other equally as gay bestfriend, Sakakura Juzo dismisses his every (poor) attempt at flirting, leaving Munakata feeling discouraged all while Yukizome is trying to convince him to keep flirting with a man who seems incapable of not ruining his shot with the man he's loved since highschool. When Yukizome somehow manages to pick the worst possible man, it brings Munakata and Sakakura closer together as Munakata realizes (for the second time) that this is a shitshow he needs help shutting down. Will everybody finally learn or is this trio doomed to live in this miserable hopeless cycle?

Enoshima had Sakakura in a corner. Kyosuke goes back to the old future foundation head quarter's daily for meetings. Though, he's always alone. Everyone is a part of his imagination, besides Juzo. He strongly believes Juzo has never left him, that he sticks around as a spirit perhaps.

Juzo thought maybe, just maybe even if he was abandoned, maybe he could still protect Kyosuke from Junko's plans. That was his final decision, the last one he'd ever make. Now who will protect Kyosuke?

Kizakura has already figured out that Munakata and Sakakura have a sort of awkward flirty tension between them that they don't dare acknowledge. Koichi gets tired of seeing them beat around the bush, so he convinces Jin to assist him in joining the two men together. Though Yukizome seems to have plans to try to whisk Munakata off his feet for herself. Will Koichi's attempts succeed, or fail?
