Karedevil Stories

This is a fanfiction that takes place immediately after the tragic/ cliff hanger ending of Marvel's The Defenders. Mostly focused on Matt and Karen and Jessica but also a lot of Foggy, Elektra, Danny, Colleen, Luke, and Claire and like everyone because they're my family and I miss them so much already.

Karen Page stood defiant before a snap shook the world to its core. Through the bloody chaos that follows, she'll remain on her damn feet. (Karen reflects on her relationships with the vigilantes of New York, especially with one certain Daredevil, as the frames of her world start to give way to dust and ash. Nelson & Murdock follow, finding their footing in a New York changed and dangerous. Vague spoilers for the Marvel TV shows up to their latest seasons) -Profanity. Sort of a slow start. This my first long story that I've written. They lost everything - the people they loved, the certainties they once held, the peace they barely tasted. But standing against a common enemy, Matt and Karen rediscover something that was never truly gone. She always comes back. And he always needs her, even in the spaces where words fail. This is their first step - not just to bring Fisk down, but to find out if something between them can still be saved.

"The pain didn't matter." Karen made a decision, stepping onto the ledge with Matt, her blue gaze even with his hazel. "It matters," she stated in kind. They could build something new out of their broken pieces. It was a dangerous thought, but Karen wasn't one for backing down when she wanted something. *** Sort of a prelude to Those Who Remain that I may or may not incorporate in the future (The first part of the first chapter of Undue Vehemence is a conversation they've already had, although this story isn't mutually exclusive). Set after Season 3 (although there are no spoilers). About three months have passed since the finale, Nelson, Murdock, & Page established and running (relatively) smoothly. Matt still goes out as Daredevil on a daily basis, although he's started ease a little in his nightly crusades, (at the behest of his coworkers). Karen and Matt have slowly drifted towards each other again, events of the past keeping them uneasy and apart. Old flames are slowly rekindling, sparked by the ruined chances of the past.
