It's Tori's Birthday, there's one week left of school until the summer holidays and everyone Tori Brennan encounters seems to be acting a tad odd. Including the handsome but mysterious Ben Blue. What's with everybody? Or could this just be Tori's overactive imagination?

She creates a chemical which "accidentally" gets put in the national food and water as an artificial flavouring. But this chemical is derived from Formaldehyde and something goes horribly wrong. Will this be the end as we know it or will they find a way to save us from the black and hopeless feeling?
