This story is based on the characters, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. They both are from the hunger games trilogy, which is a beautifully written series by Suzzane Collins. Katniss wasn't expecting to stumble into a portal to a world just as destroyed-but different in its own right. Newt wasn't expecting to find a confused girl in the middle of the Scorch once he and his buddies had found the Right Arm. Her world is kill or be killed. So is his. Well, sort of. Katniss Everdeen took her sister's place in the 74th Hunger Games. Newt was dumped into a maze full of other lost boys, rescued by a brother, and has fought his way in the Scorch. Now, he's just as lost in the Right Arm, searching for a friend he knows is gone for good. Both worlds are broken, Katniss doesn't know who to trust and where to go. But Newt is the glue, and he sticks with her. They're not meant to stay together-but hearts don't always listen, even when they know the truth. Portals show up, left and right, an unnatural anomaly. Sending humans, cranks, and kids from the Hunger Games everywhere across different globes. Being split apart is a given. Everyone is eventually. But for some reason, Katniss is managing to stay beside Newt, and she knows their time is borrowed. The portals will pull them apart eventually. And so she won't let go of his hand. No matter what. Newt knows something Katniss doesn't. He knows he's not immune from the Flare virus infecting his world. He can't stay with her. They're not meant to be. And the portals don't relent. They pull, and pull, and pull. Time is up. Thomas refuses to give up, and so, during the dangerous portal open-ups, the search for Minho is continued. But now everything goes to plan. Friends are lost. Secrets are spilled. Katniss much make a choice. Stay in this new world and find a way to close these looming portals, or try to return home by throwing herself into any given portals? Glue can't stick things together forever. Things come apart. Katniss could be lost in time. Forever.

Katniss Everdeen after the rebellion lives in 12. Gale lives in 2. Peeta has disappeared . Here comes an end, that shows comforting and forgiveness.

Mackenzie doesn't like living in District 12. She can't stand that her life is like this. She wants nothing more than to escape. But they would still find her, she would still be living in this awful place. She needed another way- the Hunger Games. That would be how she got out. But she can't MAKE her name be called, but she can do something else. All characters are owned by the amazing Suzanne Collins except for Mackenzie and a few other select characters.

Before the 74th Annual Hunger Games, the 73th took place. Before Katniss Everdeen rebelled against the capital, another girl showed defiance. Before the games changed her, she used to smile. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A fanfic I decided to write about the Hunger Games. I obviously don't mean to copy right any thing, I just really love the series by Suzanne Collins. This is my original story based around the Hunger Games series. I know there are many grammatical errors and few spelling mistakes at the moment, just bare with me. I want to try and finish the story first and then go back and proof read :)

What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that. So after, when he whispers, "You love me. Real or not real?" I tell him, "Real."

50 years since the war which broke the Hunger Games on Panem, Katniss and Peeta are the last living tributes left. As the memories of why everyone fought for freedom fades they hold strong to keep the honor of those they've lost still alive. Yet there's a fire burning through the capitol. Everything they fought against is creeping back with the new generation and a new election. The districts, the power outs, the hatred between the new capitol and the workers outside of it. After a tragic turn of events there's a call to bring back the Hunger Games. Will Katniss, Peeta and their family still have the fighting spirit to keep the peace. Or will the see their new Panem become just like the old one. Authors note: I wanted to write a story about a strong older aged woman. We looked up to Katniss when she was young, we can still look up to her when she's older.
