Dove Ogilvy, the youngest out of the three adoptive children of Librae Ogilvy, came to realise this at a very young age. The Hunger Games, the tributes, the deaths, even the Victors were all part of a massive show for the Capitol. No one could escape it. And for Victor's children, the reaping was just a formality. None had achieved to escape fate. Everyone knew they would get reaped eventually. And in District Four's case, they were thrilled for that to happen to the Ogilvy family. Dove was determined to volunteer. Angelique Ogilvy, her older sister, had all the odds to be reaped for the 66th Hunger Games. But she wouldn't let that happen. Volunteering at the age of thirteen wouldn't be smart, but she couldn't let her sister die for someone's corrupted show. However, President Coriolanus Snow had other plans for her. She didn't know, but her games started way before the voice of Claudius Templesmith declared the countdown. Katniss wasn't expecting to stumble into a portal to a world just as destroyed-but different in its own right. Newt wasn't expecting to find a confused girl in the middle of the Scorch once he and his buddies had found the Right Arm. Her world is kill or be killed. So is his. Well, sort of. Katniss Everdeen took her sister's place in the 74th Hunger Games. Newt was dumped into a maze full of other lost boys, rescued by a brother, and has fought his way in the Scorch. Now, he's just as lost in the Right Arm, searching for a friend he knows is gone for good. Both worlds are broken, Katniss doesn't know who to trust and where to go. But Newt is the glue, and he sticks with her. They're not meant to stay together-but hearts don't always listen, even when they know the truth. Portals show up, left and right, an unnatural anomaly. Sending humans, cranks, and kids from the Hunger Games everywhere across different globes. Being split apart is a given. Everyone is eventually. But for some reason, Katniss is managing to stay beside Newt, and she knows their time is borrowed. The portals will pull them apart eventually. And so she won't let go of his hand. No matter what. Newt knows something Katniss doesn't. He knows he's not immune from the Flare virus infecting his world. He can't stay with her. They're not meant to be. And the portals don't relent. They pull, and pull, and pull. Time is up. Thomas refuses to give up, and so, during the dangerous portal open-ups, the search for Minho is continued. But now everything goes to plan. Friends are lost. Secrets are spilled. Katniss much make a choice. Stay in this new world and find a way to close these looming portals, or try to return home by throwing herself into any given portals? Glue can't stick things together forever. Things come apart. Katniss could be lost in time. Forever.

After losing hope of Peeta ever returning to her the way he was, Katniss falls back in love with Gale, her best friend and hunting partner, and is reminded of her life before the Games, where she was happy and free. She tries to fix herself, the broken girl on fire, but can she ever erase her scars and learn to love Gale the same way she used to do? *This story is set just after President Coin's death in The Hunger Games - Mockingjay* *Credit for characters goes entirely to Suzanne Collins, although a few I have made myself*

Katniss and Peeta may have been a good team, they DID win the games. But GALE and Katniss? They would absolutely kick ass and nobody can prove me wrong. Peeta is a pussy. Gale is a man. This fanfic will prove it. New Chapters at least once a week!

I do not own any of the characters, Suzanne Collins wrote them. This is from Clove's perspective and follows her journey in the arena as well as if Clove and Cato won. This is my first fanfiction, so the flow of the story, as well as the grammar might not be totally perfect. There will be no smut, as I am not comfortable writing that, the characters are minors, and I don't see how that would progress the story or fit into the theme. There might be some graphic scenes as this is a fight to the death, but it shouldn't be horrible. I hope you enjoy it, and I encourage comments.
