Vic Fuentes is in an unhappy relationship with his girlfriend Shirley, but things all change when Kellin Quinn comes onto the scene. A tall, raven haired boy who struggles to communicate with others because of his past changes Vic's whole world. But nothing lasts forever.

Kellin is this innocent 17 year-old boy who people view as a walking example of adorable and pure innocence. He's getting a little bit bored, though. He wanted to do something new, something out of his usual zone; he decided to go and sign up as a helper in their local church.

Kellin Bostwick, a bullied teenager haunted by nightmares of a boy he thought he knew and loved, decides to run away from home, feeling unaccepted by his religious family for being gay. He wants to reinvent himself and make a new life, even going as far as introducing himself to people as Kellin Quinn instead of Kellin Bostwick. Desperate for a place to stay, he checks in to the Stay Inn Motel, where he runs into a group of guys - well, technically, they run into him - who help him find his way around town and offer him a place to stay. Vic, Jaime, Tony, and Mike treat him like part of the group, and Kellin finally feels acceptance. Vic decides he wants to be more then friends, and he won't take no for an answer, since he knows Kellin feels the same way. But is Kellin ready for a relationship after he ended up in a hospital, nearly dead, because of his last one? And what happens when Kellin and that ex run into each other again?

With Vic and Kellin broken up, their lives take two different courses in action - neither of them in good ways: Kellin falls back into his old habits, and without Vic to save him there isn't anyone to save him this time. He find himself in an abusive 'relationship', if that is what you can call it, but it's a wonder how much the body can go through before you realise you need help. He enrolls at a new school after running away, and maybe, just maybe his life with turn around. Vic finds his family falling down around him. If you thought his family was messed up before, you should take a look at them now. Their son's sexuality being out in the open means it is clear that he is the equivalent to the spawn of Satan. With their lives spiraling out of control they find themselves drawn together once again like a twist of fate. Maybe they really are meant to be.
