I've always loved when Noona would tell me stories to bed. Especially mysteries and crimes. I love theorizing with her, what might've happened, connecting clues with her, it's my absolute favorite. Her voice is always so soothing, it's like a lullaby moms sing to their little ones. "Seungho-yah, have you ever heard of doppelgangers?" she whispered to me as she caresses her hand gently on my forehead. I open my eyes and lace my eyes on her face. "Yeah, I have, noona. Why do you ask?" "What would you do if you see one?" "I'd approach them." I see her tilting her head, probably in confusion, by the brief answer I gave her. "Why? You do know that according to superstitions, meeting one can lead you to your death?" I turned my head and look up at her face. Her smile went from a curve to a straight line. The soft look of her eyes shifted to something else. Something.. I can't read. "..I'd like to know them. There's only one "you" in this life. Even if we share the same face, I believe that we're very different people with very different lives and stories. So.. I'd like to know about them more. Plus, it's not everyday you get to see someone with the same face as yours!" And I ended my "long" explanation with a proud smile. "..is there something wrong, Noona? You kept questioning me this since this morning.." I ask her again. She shakes her head and smiles. A fake smile of reassurance, I can tell. "Now, close your eyes and go to sleep, Seungho. You have to save energy for tomorrow." Nevertheless, I close my eyes. Tomorrow, we'll go and ride under that snowcapped carousel. And that was all that mattered. I noticed that there are not that many FANFICS for rurouni kenshin. So I decided to write one. The gang meets a girl named Shizuka. Her life is a whole mystery and dangerous for some reason. Shizuka has tried to solve the danger, but she has been alone in this fight and fails every time. She is losing hope.

In an alternate universe, where demons hide with in the shadows, a group of Hanta (hunters) form the United Akuma Slaying Organization (UASO) using Heiki (weapons with souls in them) to defeat the growing threat, of the demon population. A/N: This story was set after the last episode of Rurouni Kenshin's second season (after Kenshin beat Shishio and went back to the Kamiya dojo). Let's pretend that the whole Season 3 and all the rest [OVA / movie] didn't happen (except for the Trust and Betrayal OVA [Tomoe's story]) but Kenshingumi already knew about the whole Tomoe affair. This story mentions lots of Japanese stuff and I also made use of some Japanese words. The words and their meanings/definitions are listed in alphabetical order at the end of each chapter. ^_^ Please pardon any spelling and grammatical errors. I don't have beta readers. Though I try to review things before I post them, there are still a lot that I tend to miss. Feel free to point it out.
