I am going to try to avoid spoiling the plot of Fullmetal Alchemist but I cant make any promises as I will be referencing different characters and events in varying parts of the anime ad manga. It is almost 19 years old and Brotherhood is 11 at the time of writing this. I am planing on doing a Brotherhood book in the future that will be separate from this. Anyway, enough of my rambling. I thought about how both Ryuko Matoi and Edward Elric are both hot heads and how they'd but heads and it seemed like a good idea. Also I don't know how I'd incorporate Ryuko into the FMA storyline so don't expect a Fic with Ryuko in Amestris, the equivalent exchange wouldn't make sense and she's too powerful for it.
