Under the guise of a simple messenger, Kane - formerly Aru - once more finds himself taking up his spirit name, as he returns once more to the world he could only dream of for two straight years. But though his return sparks excitement within him, that isn't to say his home-world has been devoid of interests. The world of magic now open to him, Kane finds himself enthralled by every facet of knowledge, every oddity, and every person he finds along the way; and so it came as quite the shock when Kane found that even his own close family had magical roots, a fact he only overcame with much difficulty. But nevertheless, he soon finds himself struggling to find his place in the world, both worlds in fact. His life on earth soon takes a backseat however, as in a moment of disaster, Kane quickly finds himself washed up on the beaches of yet another unfamiliar land; all in a bid to retrieve his lost friend, he must now traverse these foreign lands, both for his and his dear friends sake. They will soon discover that nothing is as it seems however, as much like the land they had rescued, so too is the land here ridden with a rot spirits such as themselves were born to fight. Kane will discover many things on his journey, the intricacies of spirits; the complexity of the world around them; the awe inspiring scenery they find themselves surrounded by; but most importantly, they will discover what the one familiar face at their side truly means to them, through tragedy or otherwise. But as night falls, Aru will realise something. If it starts with a storm. So too will it end with one.

With the troubles of the past behind them and a family made whole once again, new tales of the world will unfold. What awaits Ori and his family? Only time will tell... - Spoilers for Ori and the Blind Forest / Will of the Wisps AND Ori and the Spirits Within (obviously) - I do not own any of the Ori characters or locations, who belong to Moon Studios and them alone. - You may have noticed the tag "canondivergence" on this story. I'll let that speak for itself. - Although thought was put into these stories (unlike the actual story where I mostly just winged it), some short stories may have different levels of emotion/plot in them than others. Some may be happy stories, some may have sad parts. Some may have emotional tension, and others may just be dumb and goofy stories. Some are light-hearted, and some can be kind of dark. Just be warned that these stories are slightly varied in their tones and relevance to overarching plot lines. - As of writing this description, at least one of these stories deal with a topic that may/may not be sensitive to particular readers. While it can make people feel uncomfortable, stories like these need to be expressed for many reasons. If reading some of these stories offends you and what you believe in, you are free to express it... but don't attack myself or other readers because of it. The Willow Tree's bright blue leaves shimmered and swayed in the peaceful breeze. It's bark croaked as a storm riled up in the distance. A soft, silver leaf fell off the brown tree and flew down at rapid speeds. Landing on a log, it took form of a small, fragile spirit. Its black eyes slowly rolled open as it took a breath.
