I kept glancing around, at the forest, the gardens, the walls, like he was going to just appear out of thin air and come apologize. Of course, that wouldn't happen. He was probably packing his bags, not taking any of the pictures of me and him that are taped around the edge of his bedroom mirror. He was probably trying to completely forget about me." Sixteen-year-old Kura's life has always been about keeping her image for the Hefe kingdom. Well, that's what her mother wanted her to do.
