Waking beneath an ancient forest with no memory of how she crossed between worlds, Vivianne finds herself stranded in a realm she once knew only through stories. Mortal, unfamiliar, and carrying things its people cannot explain, she is met with suspicion - most of all from its formidable Elvenking. Thranduil has spent centuries guarding his realm, his people, and what remains of his heart. Vivianne is an impossibility he cannot account for and a disruption he has little patience to endure. Yet as days pass and distrust slowly gives way to understanding, something quieter begins to take root between them. Neither of them is seeking love. Neither believes the other could possibly return it. But some things lost are not gone forever, and some paths between worlds may lead exactly where they were meant to. Author note: this is slow burn full of fluff for the most part of it. I have already written +130 chapters, and around 40 half written to finalise the story. As I upload the story I hope to make it shorter or add bonus chapters in a separated work.
