The long awaited Convention was finally here. Zelda had been waiting five years for this and was eager to see and do everything she could. Until she learns that the Convention served another purpose--to find her a husband. Nobility from across the globe came to earn the Princess' hand. Zelda doesn't want to marry for a political alliance. This is the modern age, they should be beyond such things. She feels stuck, searching for any way out of this situation. And her only possible escape goes by the name of 'Link'. But he is a common knight. Not fit for a princess. Will Zelda find a way to be with who she loves? Zelda and Link have defeated Calamity Ganon and are now free to go their own way. However, it is hard to get to grips with their past, which can get in the way of their present. And as if that isn't hard enough, there seems to be a new threat that they will need to face. **This story takes place directly after Breath of the Wild and has no link to Tears of the Kingdom. There's is a legend... of a celestial world where a race of immortals dwell. Should any mortal gain access to it, they will be given immortality and any power they wish. Many have searched the lands for an entry point or a key but all have failed. Though some continue their adventure to finding the land of immortals, hearts of some mortals have become full of disdain and have tainted desires to rid or rule of the immortal place. But who will reach it first?

(End of ToTK) After defeating the Demon King, Link and Zelda embark on across Hyrule, rooting out the last of the Demon King's servants so the inhabitants of Hyrule may live peacefully at last. In their travels, they must face many challenges--while Ganondorf himself may be gone, his followers are still set in their ways, refusing to let the Demon King's death go unavenged. Despite this, Link and Zelda often find themselves enjoying the small, peaceful moments, and Zelda does her best to recover from the millennia she had spent in dragon form... with Link's help, of course. !!Quick note; "Death of a Dragon" and "Not This Time" are based off the canonical ending. recovering from the calamity, zelda and link found themselves in semi-domestic bliss at his home in hateno village. while the threat of calamity ganon may be gone; there are still many loose ends to be solved. such as the yiga clan, who have decided to finally unleash their revenge on link. after all, what is a knight without his princess?

An already delayed date gets a new coat of fresh black paint in this BotW AU Zelink, where Link discovers Zelda has changed since 100 years ago, as it has now been about a year after Link beat Calamity Ganon, and she has a whole new personality to match her new look! (Story is in Link's POV, and he doesn't talk) I do NOT own the characters in this story, as all "Legend of Zelda" characters are owned by Nintendo. This is also my first story, so it may not be much, but who knows? I altered an existing official photo for TotK, I don't own the original photo, but I made the thumbnail.

Major Spoiler Warning for TOTK It's been a few years since it released, but still. =============================== I love thinking about all of the little conversations we don't see between Link, Zelda, and everyone in BOTW/TOTK. Link's traumatic entrance into both of these games had to have fucked him up real good, and I wish we could have seen more of Link mourning and processing some of the death that he encounters throughout both games. So in that vein of thought, I wrote a short scene regarding Link and grief--yes it gets undone at the end of the story but I feel like there's got to be a hot minute in TOTK where you (the player) and Link are both definitely like "Oh, so Zelda is effectively dead, right?" Because, like--that's where I was for a minute. I suspected they might reverse it at the end of the story, but I didn't know what would happen so in my head I imagined what it would be like to watch Link mourn Zelda after discovering her sacrifice.
