Princess zelda struggling to awaken her sacred power learns to love by her knight. The tension slowly building between them... Starting as a fiery hate towards Link turns into an undeniable passionate love story of forbidden love and desire of closeness in secret. Peeling back Link's hardend exterior revealing his heart, Zelda yearns to be free with him in the open. A zelink fanfic occuring before the events of breath of the wild. Not everything is canon. Some dialogue, storyline and characters belong to Nintendo.

Since the beginning of Hyrule; creatures have roamed the lands in search of their own purpose. Beings that search in the name of Power, in Courage, and in Wisdom. Yet; there are not just gods within the lands of Hyrule. While three deities representing these for themes of the Triforce- Din, the Goddess of Power, Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom, and Farore, the Goddess of Courage- there was a lot more out there. Outside of the Kingdom of Hyrule; Pale Gods fought for domination over certain aspects of the world they ruled. They were titanic beasts; each with their own power over mind, body, and especially soul. In the present day, though, all of these titanic and great gods have been extinct for thousands of years. Except... One. Y/N. Child of the Pale King and the White Lady. The First of their Children and the one meant to inherit the Kingdom of the Hallownest. Only he remained after the emergence of the mighty and feared goddess of light- The Radiance. The plague she brought was devastating, and only by fully ascending into a God Born of the Pale and Void did it end. But it was far too late for the now ruined kingdom. His siblings were dead; his mother missing, and his father's shell sitting empty on his throne. He wanders the world, now, eventually finding Hyrule and settling there. He didn't originally plan too- but it wasn't until he met someone who gave back his purpose of a protector did he make that decision. Now; he guards Hyrule, helping weilders of the Master Sword combat the evil that threaten the world. Especially when Calamity threatens to destroy it once again. He witnessed one Kingdom fall to a plague, he refused to watch another one succumb to the same fate.

Hopelessly lost, Zelda is stuck in the Lost Woods, the darkest, most dangerous forest in Hyrule. She only survives with the help of a curious young boy who can't seem to speak Hylian. Born of the woods, he has never seen another like himself and therefore lacks all normal social skills. He helps Zelda out of the woods, and she wonders if he was real at all. That same day, on a trip through Castle Town, she runs into the young boy again. After a turn of events, Zelda decides to teach him how to speak and act properly. They become close friends, learning more about each other and where they come from. However, the young boy has unintentionally made enemies and is forced to fight for his life. Will he make it out alive, calling upon the Lost Woods for help? Or will he fail to escape, forever doomed to the ancient evil threatening all that he loves?

"Link..." He shifted slightly, feeling that voice in his mind. "Link." The voice stressed, a tone of exhaustion under it. He woke, immediately pulling himself upward while his hands moved to his back, a reflex. There was nothing there, though. "Link. You must free me." The voice said again. Link turned his head, trying to find the source of the voice. "You will grow strong, and have the power needed for your task." The voice continued. "Please... help me." Zelda Hyrule's life has always been one that is not her own. Zelda has always been the spitting image of what her Father wants her to be. She has never broken a rule. That being, never been out past 9 pm, has never cut a class, and most importantly, has never, ever had a boyfriend. She goes to her private academy like her Father wants, and that's the end of her story. However, her fate takes an unfortunate turn when she accidentally gets herself blamed for something she didn't do and is expelled. Now, with her Father furious with her, she has no choice but to finish out her high school years at a regular public school. She has her eyes set on clearing her name, and no intention of staying in this crappy public school. As if by pure sheer coincidence, or maybe it was fate, she meets Link. Link, the silent superstar of the school, who, in her hour of need, comes to her side with no hesitation. She is undoubtedly drawn to him, yet she needs to stay away. As she progresses day by day, she meets a couple of new friends, and even a few enemies. Will Zelda clear her name? Or will she stay in this public dump for a couple of friends and a silent knight? An already delayed date gets a new coat of fresh black paint in this BotW AU Zelink One Shot(?), where Link discovers Zelda has changed since 100 years ago, as it has now been about a year after Link beat Calamity Ganon, and she has a whole new personality to match her new look! He didn't remember where he was, how he got there, or why he could see a black bruise blossoming across the side of his face in the reflection of the shiny, clean, linoleum floor.
