Marie goes to stay at her cousins guest house during the summer so that she can get away from her angry drunk of a father and her insane ex boy friend. Her cousin Braden's best friend Charlie, pays her a visit. One she won't ever forget.

Cora is a 14 year old girl with a lot of imagination and a wild sense of adventure that often get's her into sticky situations. She pictures herself as a female Indiana Jones and it's no wonder that she spends most of her time treking through tropical jungles or sneaking around through mud. Her life is put upside down one day when her aunt Madeline threatens her father to take her away to teach her to 'be a proper lady'. Cora strikes a bargain with her aunt asking to give her until her 15th birthday, but with it only a month away, what is a poor 14 year old girl to do? Author's Note: This story is still work in progress and I will be going back to edit it later. It was originally written for a school assignment and was just lying around when I decided I might as well upload something since I have an account. I haven't written a story in about 5 years so i'm a bit rusty with all of the mechanics :)

Romantic, sad and most likely comedy.

Fátima Herrera-García is a new transfer from Buzzfeed Mexico. She doesn't speak much English that much but does speak Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese, as she has a Mexican father and a half-Chinese, half-Japanese mother. Fátima begins working for the Buzzfeed headquarters in LA. She has trouble speaking and she tries very hard to fit in. Mike Rose, the senior producer of Ladylike, helps Fátima through her troubles and even tries to learn Spanish for her. Through Fátima's months in LA, she grows closer to Mike and eventually becomes best friends with him. They grow closer and closer together and are inseparable, not even by borders.
